How to reach Polytechnic University of Bari
The venue is easily accessible by car, bus, train, and plane. Below you’ll find directions for each option.
By car:
Take the exit 13A from SS16, proceed to Via Giovanni Amendola, turn left to Via Adolfo Omodeo, then at the stoplight turn right to Via Gaetano Salvemini and proceed till Via Edoardo Orabona,4 (the main entrance of the campus).
By bus:
From the stop located at Via Capruzzi (170), proceed on foot to the campus and enter from Via Giuseppe Re David (193); or proceed on foot to the square of central train station (“Bari Centrale”), take the bus line n.21 (Amtab), get off at the stop ReDavid (Poliba) and enter the campus from Via Giuseppe Re David (200). It is possible to purchase the ticket on the bus but only using a credit card/NFC.
By train:
Get off at “Bari Centrale” stop, from there proceed on foot to the campus and enter from Via Giuseppe Re David (193); or proceed on foot to the square of central train station (“Bari Centrale”), take the bus line n.21 (Amtab), get off at the stop ReDavid (Poliba) and enter the campus from Via Giuseppe Re David (200). It is possible to purchase the ticket on the bus but only using a credit card/NFC.
By plane from Bari airport (International Airport of Bari-Karol Wojtyla):
You have several options:
- Take the train (Ferrotranviaria SpA,) and get off at “Bari Centrale” stop, from there proceed on foot to the campus and enter from Via Giuseppe Re David (193); or proceed on foot to the square of central train station (“Bari Centrale”), take the bus line n.21 (Amtab), get off at the stop ReDavid (Poliba) and enter the campus from Via Giuseppe Re David (200). It is possible to buy the train tickets at the vending machines that are at the train station. It is possible to purchase the bus ticket on the bus but only using a credit card/NFC.
- Take the bus line n.16 (Amtab, the bus stop is located outside the airport) and get off at “Bari Centrale” stop, from there proceed on foot to the campus and enter from Via Giuseppe Re David (200); or proceed on foot to the square of central train station (“Bari Centrale”), take the bus line n.21 (Amtab), get off at the stop ReDavid (Poliba) and enter the campus from Via Giuseppe Re David (200). It is possible to purchase the ticket on the bus but only using a credit card/NFC.
- Take the bus (Autoservizi Tempesta, the bus stop is located outside the airport) and get off at “Bari Centrale” stop, from there proceed on foot to the campus and enter from Via Giuseppe Re David (200); or proceed on foot to the square of central train station (“Bari Centrale”), take the bus line n.21 (Amtab), get off at the stop ReDavid (Poliba) and enter the campus from Via Giuseppe Re David (200). The ticket for the Autoservizi Tempesta bus can be purchased on the shuttle bus or online.
- Take a taxi from the airport to the campus (Via Edoardo Orabona, 4).
By plane from Brindisi airport (International Airport of Salento):
You have several options:
- Take the bus line (STPBrindisi) and get off at “Piazza Crispi – Stazione FS” stop, from there take a train to Bari (Trenitalia). The bus stop is located outside the airport and the bus ticket are sold by “Bar Gelateria Sandrino” inside the airport. In Bari, get off from the train at “Bari Centrale” stop, from there proceed on foot to the campus and enter from Via Giuseppe Re David (200); or proceed on foot to the square of central train station (“Bari Centrale”), take the bus line n.21 (Amtab), get off at the stop ReDavid (Poliba) and enter the campus from Via Giuseppe Re David (200). It is possible to purchase Amtab ticket on the bus but only using a credit card/NFC.
- Take a taxi to the train station of Brindisi and from there take a train to Bari (Trenitalia). At Bari, take a taxi from the train station to the campus (Via Edoardo Orabona, 4).
